Michael Ambrose, vice president of engineering and technology at Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky subsidiary, has been nominated to join RBC Bearings’ board of directors.
RBC said Friday it will present Ambrose for election during the company’s annual meeting for stockholders on September 11.
Ambrose is a member of the University of New Haven’s board of governors and has worked at Sikorsky’s operations and engineering departments for over three decades. He concluded his postgraduate studies in engineering management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
“We look forward to our stockholders confirming Mike’s nomination at the annual meeting so that we can begin to reap the benefits of Mike’s guidance, leadership and expertise in engineering, technology and operations as we pursue our strategic vision for RBC Bearings,†said Michael Hartnett, president and CEO at RBC.
Thomas O'Brien is due to leave RBC's board directors at the conclusion of the stockholders' meeting after a 13-year career at the firm.
RBC offers precision bearings and related components to defense, industrial and aerospace industry customers.
