Nanette DeRenzi, a retired U.S. Navy vice admiral and chief operating officer of Jefferson Consulting Group, has joined the board of directors at naval engineering and design company Gibbs and Cox.

She served in the Navy for 29 years and served as the service branch’s judge advocate general for three years prior to her retirement in 2015, Gibbs and Cox said Tuesday.

Earlier in her career, she led the Naval Legal Service Command and managed the Naval Justice School.

Arlington, Va.-based Gibbs & Cox supports military customers in the design, construction and life cycle management of marine platforms.
