PPG has received a five-year, $78M contract to provide durability coating for all ships in the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command.
The company said Friday it will deliver these products and complementary technical services for about 125 vessels at drydocking facilities across the globe.
PPG will provide its PSX polysiloxane, Amercoat epoxy and Sigmaglide biocide-free coatings to help the Navy maintain exposed steel surfaces, external surfaces, tanks and hulls.
“This is a major win for the PPG marine team and showcases the value PPG can bring to customers through its broad range of products and deep expertise,†said Juanjo Ardid, vice president of protective and marine coatings for U.S. and Canada at PPG.
