ThayerMahan has received a four-year, $19.4M contract with the Office of Naval Research for the development and enhancement of autonomous, acoustic and electronic search technologies.
The company said Sunday it will work to support the technology needs of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps under the Development, Testing and Application of Unmanned Maritime Systems to Produce Innovative Maritime Autonomous Cross-Domain Capabilities program.
Mike Connor, president and CEO at ThayerMahan, said the company will apply engineering expertise and experience gained from working with the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard, in addition to the Navy and USMC.
