Eight firms have landed spots on a five-year, $77M fixed-price, indefinite-delivery contract to provide oxygen and nitrogen supplies to NASA centers to support their operations.
NASA said Tuesday the facilities will utilize oxygen as an oxidizer for cryogenic rocket engines while they will use nitrogen for pressurization cooling, purging and pneumatic actuation purposes.
Contract work started Monday and is expected to conclude by 2024.
