Microsoft has released a white paper to guide government agencies and other public sector clients as they address common security concerns related to cloud migration.
Stevan Vidich, principal program manager at Microsoft, wrote in a blog post published Thursday that the document explores technology platforms available in Microsoft Azure that coulp help customers protect confidential, sensitive and unclassified data workloads in the public cloud platform.
Some of the common customer concerns cited in the paper are data residency and data sovereignty; government access to client data; data encryption; threat detection and prevention; and cloud compliance.
Vidich described Azure as a public multitenant cloud platform that could help agencies field various tools and segregate their data and applications from those of other clients using isolation approach and related technologies.
