Melwood Horticultural Training Center has secured a one-year, $49.7M contract to provide base operations support to the U.S. Army.
The Army Contracting Command received one bid for the firm-fixed-price contract through an online solicitation process and will obligate at the time of award $4.7M in fiscal 2019 other procurement funds, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Work is expected to take place at Fort Meade in Maryland through June 30, 2020.
Melwood is a nonprofit organization based in Upper Marlboro, Md. that offers recreational and wellness services such as job training and life skills improvement support.
