Leonardo DRS has secured a $28.3M contract to provide the U.S. Army with installation kits for vehicle-mounted computer systems.
Deliveries under the contract will support the Army’s Mounted Family of Computer Systems II program, the company said Thursday.
MFoCS II equipment will function to help the Army sustain the Joint Battle Command Platform that provides critical system updates, cybersecurity, multi-touch displays and situational awareness support.
“We are proud to use the capacity of our manufacturing center of excellence to produce these vehicle installation kits,†said Bill Guyan, vice president and general manager at Leonardo DRS’ land electronics business.
The company has been a provider of installation kits for almost a decade.
