Kenneth Kizer, chief healthcare transformation officer and senior executive vice president at Atlas Research, has testified to the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs regarding healthcare services.
He raised concern on the lack of industry-wide standards for timely delivery of veteran health care aside from emergency situations, Atlas Research said Friday.
Kizer recommended the Department of Veterans Affairs to integrate virtual and in-person care, implement virtual care system-wide, engage national academic institutions, further employ Veteran-satisfaction metrics and evaluate methods to meet timeliness needs.
The healthcare professional also recommended partnering with the National Quality Forum to determine performance measures in care services tracking.
Kizer formerly served as VA’s undersecretary for health and is a known contributor to the Veterans Healthcare System.
