Hughes Network Systems has received a $11.8M contract to help the U.S. Army boost interoperability across military satellite communications systems.
Using artificial intelligence and machine learning, the company will demonstrate an end-to-end narrowband satcom architecture that aims to support system interoperability, automated control and network management, Hughes said Wednesday
The effort supports the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center within the Army’s Combat Capabilities Development Command.
“We are proud to support the Army and help improve network interoperability and availability for narrowband SATCOM operations,†said Rajeev Gopal, Hughes’ vice president of advanced programs who also leads the effort.
