The Defense Information Systems Agency has posted a request for information to seek for potential sources of software instances that will help host components of the agency’s secure cloud framework.
DISA developed the Secure Cloud Computing Architecture tool to protect the Defense Information System Network and Department of Defense’s mission owner platforms through commercial cloud environments, according to a FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday.
The agency noted that it plans to integrate boundary defense sensors to secure and monitor where DoD mission owners host their respective workloads. In addition, DISA requires the potential providers to utilize Amazon Web Services’ Secret Region service to accommodate Impact Level 6 workloads and augment security functions.
DISA intends to award a one-year $27.5M contract along with two one-year options in line with the project.
Interested small businesses have until July 23 to send their responses to the notice.
