Marc Mancher, a principal at Deloitte, said federal agencies have been slow to adopt robotic process automation and are more likely to scale bots horizontally into new use cases, FedScoop reported Monday.
Agencies showed a 20 percent increase in the use of RPA between quarters and Mancher said such a slow pace in scaling up bots could be attributed to the need of having controls in place through centers of excellence for performance measurement and reskilling.
“I’ve seen RPA solicitations on the street. So we’ve matured as a business from risk and compliance, security credentialing, innovation to having more places horizontally scaled,†Mancher said. “And I’m hoping in the next 12 months — as I’m now seeing more in the marketplace — for us to get vertical scale in the federal government.â€
