Collins Aerospace has started accepting orders for a new GPS receiver set that is designed to receive Y-Code and Military Code signals and whose anti-jamming features are ten times more powerful than those of its predecessor.
The Miniature PLGR Engine-M Code GPS receiver is an updated variant of the MPE-S unit and is designed to offer reinforced anti-jamming, security and assured positioning features, the company said Monday.
It has met stringent U.S. military requirements and is eligible for export through the Foreign Military Sales initiative.
“The MPE-M is ideal for lightweight, ground-based applications such as radios, blue force trackers, targeting devices, vehicle LRU’s and small unmanned aircraft,†said Troy Brunk, vice president and general manager of communication, navigation and electronic warfare at Collins Aerospace.
Collins Aerospace is slated to deliver MPE-M units in 2020.
