The Defense Information Systems Agency cleared a Cisco-built Software-as-a-Service tool that will allow the company to market the service to Department of Defense customers.
Cisco received a 12-month provisional authorization at Impact Level 5 for the Hosted Collaboration Solution for Defense, a platform developed to allow management capacities for video conferencing, voice calls and instant messaging via cloud-based applications, DISA said Tuesday.
HCS-D can also interface with on-premise collaboration tools and equip users with DoD services expertise.
In addition to the DISA authorization, HCS-D also secured a certification through the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
