Zain Ahmed, vice president of civilian and law enforcement sales at CenturyLink, has been selected by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association’s Bethesda chapter as winner of the Industry Innovator of the Year award.
He is among the winners for the association’s 2019 InnovateIT Awards program, which recognizes individuals or teams that have demonstrated excellence in service, mission and stewardship, AFCEA Bethesda said Monday.
At CenturyLink, Ahmed supervises a team that offers network, cyberecurity, cloud computing and information technology mission support services to the federal government. He assumed his current role in December 2018 after serving as senior director of the company’s civilian practice for one year.
The awards ceremony will take place during the 12th Annual Senior Government Executive Dinner on July 11 at Grand Hyatt Washington D.C.
