Huntington Ingalls Industries holds a position on a potential $2.45B U.S. Navy contract to help Naval Information Warfare Systems Command install command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms.

HII said Monday it is among the six contractors selected by the military branch to support afloat systems installation efforts through the contract. Mason added the company employs technicians and engineers who have previous experience installing and updating warfighting systems.

“We are excited about this opportunity to continue supporting the Navy’s C4ISR programs,” said Brad Mason, president of the fleet support group at HII’s technical solutions division.
