Data Link Solutions, a joint venture between BAE Systems and Collins Aerospace, has secured a potential $62.3M contract modification with the U.S. Navy to retrofit a technology that enables the military to facilitate communications and transmit data.

The company will update the Multifunctional Information Distribution System’s low-volume data and voice transmission platforms for the Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Naval Information Warfare Systems Command will obligate funds with each issued delivery order. Work will take place in Wayne, N.J. and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, through December 2026.
