Atlas Space Operations has partnered with Amazon Web Services to provide research teams and commercial clients with access to satellite ground stations for storage, data processing and analysis functions.
In a company statement published Wednesday, Atlas said it will enable satellite constellation operators to utilize an AWS Ground Station antenna to ensure data transmission through the use of the Freedom Network.
Customers may also use Freedom to access AWS offerings including Amazon Simple Storage Service, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud and Amazon CloudWatch for cloud storage and network scheduling and monitoring purposes.
“ATLAS is working with AWS to simplify communications for satellite operators, and I think our customers are going to love leveraging AWS Ground Station from our network,†said Sean McDaniel, CEO and co-founder of Atlas.
