Altamira Technologies Corp. announced on Wednesday that the company has been acquired by an investor group led by ClearSky. The terms of the acquisition haven’t been revealed.

“As we enter the next phase of growth at Altamira, the team is excited to build on our position as the most well established and fully integrated mid-market provider of innovative solutions to defense and intelligence customers.”  said Ted Davies, Altamira chairman, CEO and a former Wash100 Award winner.

“We have carefully constructed a unique platform built to scale and support core national defense and intelligence missions and are enthused that our investors share our vision for the future,” Davies added.

Altamira was formed to address the growing gap in mid-sized innovators that possess the ability to scale as well as the agility to adapt to a rapidly changing threat environment and technology landscape. Altamira has experienced a 20%+ CAGR over the past four years and multi-billion dollar set of contract vehicles have continued the company’s growth and expansion into the broader defense, intelligence and homeland security markets.

In addition to ClearSky, other investors in the ClearSky-led consortium include McNally Capital and Nio Advisors.  ClearSky Managing Director Peter Kuper and ClearSky Chairman Joseph R. Wright, Jr. and Ward McNally, Managing Partner at McNally Capital will join Altamira’s board of directors.

“It has been a tremendous honor to lead the organization and its incredible employees in becoming a premier mid-market innovation partner to the National Security Community,” said Jonathan Moneymaker, president of Altamira. “The leadership team is poised and ready to capitalize on its market position partnered with ClearSky, McNally, and Nio to take the company to the next level in support of our National Security customers and their critical missions.”
