Allied Systems has secured a potential five-year, $70.6M firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to build and deliver two aircraft salvage cranes to the U.S. Navy.

Scope of contract work will also include the performance of logistics and engineering support services, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The Navy will use the Amphibious Crash and Carrier Crash Salvage Crane platforms to replace the service branch’s current vessel crane units.

Contract work will run through July 2024 and will take place in Sherwood, Ore. Naval Air Warfare Center received three bids for the competitively offered contract and will obligate funding at the award of task orders.

In addition to crane platforms, Allied Systems also manufactures winches, chip-dozers, steel handlers, long reach attachments, coal dozers and hay handling equipment.
