Alion Science and Technology has delivered and installed an information technology asset management system at the U.S. Air Force’s data center in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The company deployed the ITAM platform to the USAF Warrior Preparation Center near Ramstein Air Base to help the center manage an inventory of more than 10K hardware and software in an effort to fortify its security architecture, Alion said Monday.
ITAM will handle over 2.5K nodes that span five enclaves across classified and unclassified networks in line with Center for Internet Security as well as Risk Management Framework certification requirements.
“The ITAM tool is allowing us to inventory and account for all the licensed software across our networks to provide a clear picture of the software ecosystem,†said Marc James, WPC’s senior configuration manager.
According to Alan Dietrich, senior vice president and general manager at Alion, the company’s ITAM technology has been approved to help secure the data center.
