The U.S. Air Force is seeking companies that can manufacture next-generation area attack warheads for the service’s BLU-136/B fragmentation bomb.
According to a FedBizOpps notice posted Monday, the Air Force Materiel Command plans to issue a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the production of BLU-136/B warhead cases and components in line with government-provided technical data package requirements.
The Air Force expects to release a request for proposals by July 31 and intends to set-aside the multiple-award contract to small businesses. Interested parties may submit responses to the presolicitation notice through Aug. 2.
