Rocket Lab’s Electron rocket took off Saturday from a launch complex in New Zealand to bring seven satellites to orbit for space mission management and rideshare provider Spaceflight.
The satellites aboard the Make It Rain mission were the Melbourne Space Program’s ACRUX-1, two U.S. Special Operations Command Prometheus and BlackSky’s Global-4, Rocket Lab said SatuSave and Closerday.
“It’s a privilege to provide tailored and reliable access to space for small satellites like these, giving each one a smooth ride to orbit and precise deployment, even in a rideshare arrangement,†said Peter Beck,  founder and CEO of Rocket Lab.
The mission, which was announced in May, marks Rocket Lab’s seventh Electron launch and third launch for this year, bringing the total number of satellites fielded by the company to 35.
