Raytheon has introduced an application designed to help agencies communicate with their employees during emergencies using Android and iOS smartphones.

John DeSimone, vice president of cybersecurity and special missions at Raytheon intelligence, information and services’ business, said in a statement published Wednesday NexGenTrac seeks to help organizations protect their personnel during emergencies by connecting with them.

“Now available for global governments, agencies or companies supporting a variety of missions, this application provides an immediate secure link to employees. Unlike many social media platforms used to provide status updates, NexGenTrac gives you the ability to own and manage your data in a secure environment,” DeSimone added.

NextGenTrac has a map interface, a chat service, emergency alert function, data security features and enables users to identify their geographic location.
