Northrop Grumman‘s innovation systems sector has secured a potential three-year, $38.9M contract to produce built-in testing systems for U.S. Air Force munitions

The company will deliver common munition built-In-tester reprogramming equipment units including AN/GYQ-79A CMBRE Plus, ADU-890/E, ADU-891-(V) 1/E and ADU-891-(V) 3/E, the Department of Defense said Monday.

USAF will use fiscal 2019 procurement funds to finance delivery orders under the sole-source contract. Work will take place in Northridge, Calif., through June 16, 2022.

The CMBRE system is designed to facilitate built-in tests, reporting and flight software upload/download across a variety of munitions platforms.
