Mercury Systems has unveiled a direct digital synthesizer the company designed to support wideband electronic warfare and intelligence systems used to monitor radio frequency bandwidth.
SpectrumSeries DS-300 employs a low-phase noise microwave technology and seeks to increase the performance of EW and ELINT platforms, the company said Tuesday.
The device operates at a frequency range of up to 20 gigahertz with 1 Hz resolution and a noise level -121 decibels per hertz at 10 GHz with 10 kilohertz offset. It can also function in environments that have a temperature range of -86 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit and allows control via computer-based graphical user interfaces.
Mercury offers standard temperature-compensated crystal oscillator and oven-controlled crystal oscillator-based variants of the synthesizer
The company noted it will begin deliveries in the fourth quarter.
