Lockheed Martin’s rotary and mission systems business received a $76.7M contract modification to continue maintaining U.S. Navy test sites to support the development and assessment of Aegis Combat System updates for domestic and international clients.

The modification exercises options of a potential $84M contract awarded in 2018 and covers quality and information assurance, technical engineering, configuration management and related equipment needed at the Naval Systems Computing Center, Combat Systems Engineering Development Site and SPY-1A Test Facility, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Lockheed’s operational assistance and site refurbishment services will help accommodate integration activities for Aegis weapon system and ballistic missile defense technologies for the Navy’s DDG-51 and CG-47 vessels as well as foreign military sales requirements identified by the governments of Australia, Japan, Norway and South Korea.

The Navy will obligate $29.7M as well as FMS funds for the cost-plus-incentive-fee and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract at the time of award.

Work under the modification is expected to take place in Moorestown, N.J. through June 2020.
