Lockheed Martin has delivered the 500th unit of its electro-optical targeting system, which utilizes infrared technology capable of tracking air or ground targets and was designed for the F-35 aircraft.

It delivered all EOTS units on schedule to meet the production requirements of the F-35, the company said Monday.

Additionally, for the Distributed Aperture System, Lockheed has delivered the 4,000th set of infrared-transparent windows. The windows allow electro-optical sensors to achieve 360-degree awareness to identify threats.
