An L3 Technologies business received a $46.5M contract from the U.S. Air Force to build and test GPS receivers for future military missions.
L3 Interstate Electronics will conduct preliminary design review activities for next-generation GPS units intended to support application-specific functions as part of the sole-source contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center will obligate $10M in fiscal 2019 research and development funds at the time of award.
The Pentagon expects L3 to perform work under the cost-plus-incentive-fee award in Anaheim, Calif., through November 2020.
