KBR has landed a five-year, $41M contract from the U.S. Navy to perform technical, operational, testing, engineering and logistics support services for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s surface and aviation interoperability laboratory.

The company will also provide avionics installation and ship combat systems maintenance as well as laboratory equipment as part of the cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Contract work is scheduled to conclude by July 2024 and will take place in Patuxent River, Md. NAWCAD received four bids for the competitively solicited contract and will obligate funding at the award of task orders.

“KBR fully understands that SAIL is a critical node in the Navy’s testing operations,” Byron Bright, KBR president of U.S. Government Solutions, said in a statement. “We have supported this unique, world-class laboratory since its inception 15 years ago and will continue to work alongside the Navy to make sure systems are tested and ready for the fleet.”
