IronNet Cybersecurity has expanded the features of its IronDefense network traffic analysis platform to enable Amazon Web Services users to replicate Amazon Virtual Private Cloud traffic and trasmit the data to the NTA tool for behavioral analysis.
The traffic mirroring feature is intended to help AWS administrators identify cyber threats and share the detected anomalies in real time with government agencies, industry partners and supply chain-level firms through the IronDome platform for collective cyber defense efforts, IronNet said Tuesday.
Michael Ehrlich, chief technology officer of IronNet, said the new tool offers IronDefense native access to AWS and enterprise network data while simplifying anomaly monitoring and threat identification.
Dave Brown, vice president of elastic compute cloud compute and networking services at AWS, added that IronDefense’s capacity for ingesting Amazon VPC traffic data across AWS and on-premises platforms can help users avoid cyber attacks that specifically target cloud environments.
IronNet announced the update during the 2019 AWS re:Inforce event in Boston.
