Harper Construction has received a potential $56.8M task order for construction work at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma under an existing multiple award contract.

The company will build a maintenance hangar, a maintenance shop and an administrative building at the installation, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Services will include hazardous material abatement, demolition, site preparation, utility infrastructure work and airfield repair.

The order holds a base value of $56.1M and one option that will access the contract’s full amount if exercised. The U.S. Navy will use fiscal 2017 military construction funds to finance initial work.

Construction will take place in Yuma, Ariz., through April 2022.

Naval Facilities Engineering Command received four proposals for the task order.
