Gary Danoff, leader of G Suite strategy and operations for the public sector at Google's cloud business, has said organizations should adopt cloud-based tools to fortify cybersecurity defenses and avoid data breaches, Government Technology post reported Tuesday.
He noted that the G Suite data storage and sharing toolset works to help information technology teams secure networks and address productivity issues that usually result from patchwork and on-premises systems.
“All of this data points to a similar conclusion: Government can’t serve its citizens if productivity suffers as cybersecurity defenses grow stronger; the current environment demands we have both,†he said.
In addition to real-time collaborative features, the product suite also includes built-in security controls such as Titan Security Keys and Google Safe Browsing in Chrome. These featured are designed to prevent exfiltration and phishing threats.
