General Dynamics’ mission systems business has updated a universal secure phone that utilizes cryptographic methods to repel potential cyberattacks and help users perform secure and non-secure Voice over IP calls.
In addition, the R6.1 update also streamlined the keying process for the Sectera vIPer universal secure phone to allow redialling with a single call via the Electronic Key Management and Key Management Infrastructure tools, the company said Wednesday.
Customers may download the R6.1 update through the National Security Agency’s securephone .net portal.
The Sectera vIPer phone utilizes the GEM One Encryptor Manager tool to equip the device with remote management and administrative functions. Over 60,000 units have been distributed to date.
