Erin Horrell, a more than 20-year federal information technology industry professional, has been named chief growth officer at IT services contractor Intelligent Waves.

She will be responsible for the company’s strategic growth and business development initiatives, Intelligent Waves said Tuesday.

“We are extremely pleased to have Erin join Intelligent Waves on a dedicated basis, focusing her industry knowledge and expertise to Intelligent Waves’ growth strategies,” said Jared Shepard, founder and CEO of Intelligent Waves.

Horrell has been serving as Intelligent Waves’ adviser since 2011 and helped the company secure prime contracts valued at $30B.

She is the founder and principal of EMH Government Solutions. She previously worked at General Dynamics’ information technology business as business development director and as VP of business development at By Light Professional IT Services.

Reston, Va.-based Intelligent Waves is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business founded in 2006 and provides cyber, cloud computing, mobility, systems engineering and other end-to-end IT support services to public and private customers.
