Elbit Systems’ U.S. arm has received a one-year, $26M contract to install an integrated fixed towers system that will provide border patrol agents with situational awareness during operations at U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s area of responsibility in Casa Grande, Ariz.

It will create the IFT with a command and control center and a networked system with multiple towers and sensors designed to oversee activity at certain sections of the border, Elbit Systems said Wednesday.

The company has been awarded a number of contracts that facilitate command, control and surveillance functions for 200 miles of the Arizona-Mexico border.
