The National Veteran Small Business Coalition has recognized DynCorp International for the firm’s work to support veteran-owned companies by honoring it with the Veteran Enterprise Award at the 2019 Veteran Entrepreneur Training Symposium for the eighth consecutive year.
DynCorp said Tuesday it received the Champion of Veteran Enterprise Award for surpassing the 3 percent goal in awarding subcontracts to service disabled veteran-owned small businesses. The firm also exceeded 8 percent in subcontract awards to veteran-owned small businesses.
In fact, the company awarded 12.1 percent of its obligated fiscal 2018 funds to service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 23.6 percent to veteran-owned small businesses.
“We are deeply proud of continually being recognized for our dedicated efforts in partnering with veteran and service-disabled veteran small businesses,†said Billy Harlin, senior director for procurement at DynCorp.
The 2019 Veteran Entrepreneur Training Symposium was held by the National Veteran Small Business Coalition on May 29-31 in San Antonio.
