The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has laid out its technical requirements for the development of a technology that would increase situational awareness in logistics and supply chain operations across the Department of Defense’s Joint Logistics Enterprise.
July 30 is the deadline for interested parties to propose approaches to develop a system that could operate with current information technology platforms that process digital and cloud-based logistics data, according to a FedBizOpps notice posted Thursday.
The LogX platform will be designed to acquire, share and understand information about the state of enterprise-wide logistics and supply chain systems.
DARPA also intends for the technology to help automate complex business processes, data sources, flow of information and system modeling to determine variables that affect system status.
The agency expects the project to kick off in February 2020, with the first phase slated to run for 18 months.
