The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is looking for a contractor that can integrate ground-launched hypersonic weapon systems as part of DARPA and the U.S. Army’s Operational Fires initiative.

According to a FedBizOpps notice posted Wednesday, the contractor will perform work under the OpFires program’s third phase, which will cover flight testing slated to conclude in 2022.

The OpFires effort is focused on the development of a mobile system that launches penetrative hypersonic boost glide platforms designed to defeat time-sensitive targets.

Phase one covers initial development and demonstration activities, while phase two involves design maturation and static fire testing scheduled for late 2020.

Interested parties may submit responses to the presolicitation notice through Aug. 5.
