BAE Systems and UiPath have partnered to develop robot software platforms intended to help U.S. government and military customers automate business processes.

BAE said Sunday it plans to use the firm’s Advanced Analytics Lab to create and integrate tools that would process huge amounts of data from unstructured and semi-structured sources.

“Working with UiPath, our analysts are laying the foundation on which future augmented analytics capabilities will be designed and integrated into government systems,” said Manish Parikh, chief technology officer of BAE’s intelligence and security sector.

Parish added the partnership seeks to align robotic process automation technology development efforts with analytics programs within the intelligence community.

Don DeSanto, director of strategic partnerships under the same BAE division, noted that RPA tools function as “workforce multipliers” that automate day-to-day organizational tasks through human-machine teaming.

Jim Walker, CTO of UiPath’s federal business, said the technology can also be deployed through server- or enterprise-based frameworks to support business operations in a cloud environment.

BAE is demonstrating its RPA integration efforts during the 2019 GEOINT Symposium in San Antonio.
