Amazon Web Services and iBASEt have partnered to introduce a cloud-based software product designed to help aerospace and defense technology manufacturers factory operations.

Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based iBASEt said Wednesday it will integrate the Digital Manufacturing Suite platform into the AWS Smart Factory program, which allows plant operators collect and analyze data.

The program offers an internet-of-things service and analytics, edge computing, data lakes, artificial intelligence and machine learning tools.

"The cloud creates a powerful infrastructure to leverage a range of native services that drive seamless adaption of different technologies, connecting operations and sustainment management in a seamless flow of data across the value chain and product lifecycle," said Sung Kim, chief technology officer at iBASEt.

The partnership comes less than two months after Lockheed Martin selected iBASEt technology to manage the design and production of military aircraft platforms.
