The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is conducting market research to determine a possible approach to update information technology applications essential for operational activity.
USPTO said Wednesday in a FedBizOpps notice that subject matter experts identified two out of more than 300 agency IT app portfolios as "mission critical" and have "technology concerns."
The agency added it aims to integrate a group of identified apps at the infrastructure level through a concentrated effort.
Interested vendors have until May 13 to submit responses to USPTO's request for information.
A potential vendor will help the agency draft performance metrics and create a detailed work plan for the project, as well as provide onsite engineering services.
