TTEK will distribute Altana Trade’s artificial intelligence-based risk management and data fusion platforms and services to government agencies around the globe under an alliance agreement.

Altana Trade will integrate TTEK’s risk management workflow software and analytics with its platforms in support of multinationals, logistics and financial services companies, TTEK said Monday.

TTEK CEO Chris Thibedeau said AI could play a role in transforming customs and border management and two factors are needed to realize the opportunity: the need to structure and link tax, enforcement and internal trade data within a government and the need to combine national data with information from beyond the border to determine the structure and patterns of border flows.

Thibedeau cited the Altana Trade Data Network and its capability to detect and analyze risk in transnational border flows and improve visibility through the use of AI.

New York-based Altana Trade uses AI and global economic data to facilitate trade and economic activities.

TTEK provides risk management and customs administration software and services to revenue authorities and other government enforcement agencies to manage high-risk border flows and facilitate interagency coordination and systems interoperability.
