Systems Planning and Analysis has received the Toastmasters Corporate Recognition Award for the Alexandria, Va.-based company’s efforts to increase employee engagement.

The company said Thursday it hosts the SPA Communicating Excellence Toastmasters Club at its Virginia headquarters to help employees interact with coworkers and strengthen their communication and leadership skills.

The program offers a platform for staff members to learn how to conduct meetings, practice time management, improve listening and presentation skills and learn team collaboration.

William Vantine, president and CEO of SPA, said the company acknowledges its employees as valuable assets.

"We act as trusted advisors to the government, providing strategic and analytics support to our clients and effective communication and leadership skills are vital to sustaining our business," Vantine added.

Balraj Arunasalam, president of Toastmasters Immediate Past International, presented the award to SPA.
