Shiju Zacharia, a 10-year Crowley Maritime veteran, has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of the company’s solutions group as part of a realignment effort.
He will report to Chairman and CEO Tom Crowley and oversee the delivery of novel platforms to government services clients through the company’s Jacksonville, Fla.-based office, the company said Tuesday.
Zacharia will continue to manage the company’s $2.3B Defense Freight Transportation Services contract; government ship management; expeditionary logistics offerings; and response and relief services for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and other agencies.
Mike Golonka, VP of government ship management group; and Rob Clapp, VP of solutions planning and strategy; will report to Zacharia as part of Crowley Solutions.
Crowley Maritime realigned its solutions and shipping business units to further strengthen its focus on non-asset based customer platforms. As part of this move, engineering services and commercial project management will now transition to the company’s shipping business unit led by SVP and GM Rob Grune.
Ray Martus, VP of project management group, will report to Grune and manage offshore marine projects, drydocking strategies and vessel construction management through the shipping business unit’s office in Jacksonville.
Jay Edgar, VP of engineering services team, will report to Johan Sperling, VP of Crowley’s marine services business, as he oversees the company’s Jensen Maritime subsidiary in Seattle.
