Rackspace has unveiled a service meant to help software-as-a-service providers comply with Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program standards when pursuing government certification for their cloud products.

The company said Tuesday its Rackspace Inheritable Security Controls offering will provide independent SaaS vendors access to FedRAMP compliance expertise from Rackspace, Telos and SecureIT.

RISC also offers a 30-day access to the Xacta 360 platform, which Telos designed to helps clients plan FedRAMP-related actions with regard to time and resource costs.

“Our joint approach to the FedRAMP process represents a significant departure from traditional, consultant-led engagements typically required to provide federally compliant solutions,” said Raymond Kalustyan, vice president and general manager at Rackspace's government solutions unit.
