Eric Jung, commercial solutions for classified program director at Perspecta Labs, wrote in an opinion piece published Wednesday on C4ISRNET that there are three approaches agencies can implement to ensure the security of government data on commercial networks and one is through streamlined CSfC deployment of mobile applications.
Jung discussed how automated provisioning of end-user devices helps prevent configuration errors and speed up setup time for each device.
“Automated provisioning and configuration tools allow fast, secure brigade-level deployments and can install monitoring and troubleshooting tools designed to be user-friendly for end users,†he wrote.
Another way to secure government data on networks is through the use of an advanced and flexible mobile networking capability, he noted.
“Advanced mobility management solutions can be customized for specific deployment needs and provide mobile war fighters with access to secure, reliable communications even in challenging and highly dynamic environments,†he added.
Jung also tackled the National Security Agency’s CSfC program and how it works to help agencies manage classified communications through wireless networks.
