NASA is seeking industry feedback concerning the development of a payload separation system that will be part of the space agency’s Space Launch System.
A request for information posted Friday on FedBizOpps calls on private firms to comment on the design, technology development, qualification and manufacture of the PSS, a 14-foot component that will support the Block 1B configuration of the SLS in the deployment of payloads and crewed flights.
NASA said the responses to the RFI, which will be used in the formulation of an acquisition strategy, should focus on the affordability, reliability and performance of the system.
Interested parties have until June 7 to provide feedback.
