Amazon Web Services and Monkton collaborated to develop a mobile application for U.S. Air Force maintainers to view data they need to perform flight line work using mobile devices.
Harold Smith, CEO of Monkton, said in a statement posted Tuesday the BRICE app underwent three months of user acceptance testing with support of Monkton's Rebar security tool and AWS' GovCloud.
Dave Levy, vice president of AWS' government business, said the tool works to help maintainers consume and generate information on time for demanding situations.
"We listen to our customers and do our best to focus on their needs and when necessary invent on their behalf," Levy added.
Chris Gorman, chief operating officer of Monkton, noted the company uses a "mission mobility" approach that standardizes factory tools to comply with various certifications including the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
"With the factory, any developer can check in code for a mobile app, build it, test it, scan it and should produce a compliant auditable result," he said.
