Microsoft has implemented a new curriculum under its online business education program with the goal to help government personnel understand the advantages of artificial intelligence.

The AI Business School's government-focused learning path is meant to help agencies broaden knowledge of potential challenges and opportunities when integrating AI into organizational operations, Jaime Perena, director of AI marketing at Microsoft, wrote in a blog entry posted Monday.

“Helping governments reach and serve people through cloud services is a key priority for us,” said Anthony Salcito, vice president for government at Microsoft.

“Citizens want to be able to interact with governments in real time and from any device. AI enables a two-way conversation where citizens can contribute information and receive insights in return.”

The public sector track will include content such as a demo on the use of intelligent bots, a video lecture on government AI opportunities and a case study on AI-based modernization initiatives.
